Step-by-step learning

Know exactly what to learn and when to learn it.

Lessons designed to take you from where you are to drawing the art you imagined.

Step-by-step lessons

Each lesson builds on the one before, walking you through the techniques and skills you need. So you stop guessing what to work on next.

Detailed video instruction

Each lesson shows you how every technique is drawn, from start to finish. Plus drawing exercises after every video to practice each skill yourself.

Practice resources

Spend your practice time drawing, not hunting for materials. Each lesson has the exact references, brushes, and 3D models you need, ready the moment you open it.

Track your progress

Stay consistent and motivated by always seeing your progress. Watch yourself improve lesson by lesson, with a clear view of how far you've come and what's next.

The biggest change in my art came after I joined Doodle Warriors.

Live learning

Finally see what's holding your art back.

You can't always spot your own mistakes. That's why every week we go live: watch real critiques, learn what to look for, and draw alongside Angel on the skills you want to build.

1

Weekly Feedback Sessions

Stop guessing. Start improving.

You finish a piece and wonder: is it any good? Am I getting better? On your own, there's no way to tell.

Every week, bring whatever you're working on, your own art or a course exercise, for live feedback that shows you what's working and what to focus on. And it's not only your own work you learn from.

Watching someone else get feedback teaches you just as much, sometimes more.

2

Weekly Portrait Workshops

Get Angel's eyes on your own portrait.

Angel goes live to review real portraits from members. Submit yours, and watch him break it down, showing the choices he'd make and where to take it next.

It's the closest thing to having him look over your shoulder while you draw.

3

Weekly Drawing Challenges

Watching won't make you better. Drawing will.

Each challenge takes on a new subject the members vote for, drawn alongside Angel in real time.

As you follow his approach, you catch the bad habits you didn't know you had and fix them as you go.

You finish with real progress, the kind that only comes from actually drawing.

Community

Stay consistent, even when motivation runs out.

Inside Doodle Warriors, you’re part of a private community of artists. People at your level. People ahead of you. People behind you.

Whether you need a fresh pair of eyes, a friendly push, or someone who just gets it, our members are here for each other, bonded by a shared love of art.

It’s the difference between one more promise to yourself that you’ll get to it eventually, and accountability buddies who make sure you actually do.

Real self-taught artists. Real transformations.

Last year I decided to take @angelganev ‘s courses cuz I realized I needed some more structure in my studies.

Definitely the best art decision I’ve made.

I’m so happy that last year I decided to join this amazing community and improve my art with them!

This decision not only changed my art, but my life along with it! It really was one of my best decisions!

To take Doodle Warriors courses is the best choice I’ve ever made for my art skills.

I couldn’t have achieved this result in only 11 months without the course and weekly feedback from coaches and advanced students! 💖

I had experience drawing with a pencil, but I had never tried digital art before.

I really appreciate how everything started from the beginning and it kept getting gradually harder, without it being overwhelming.

It also gave me a goal to work towards and that helped me to stay consistent with my practice.

Everything else I’ve watched, didn’t provide me with structured material, so I didn’t know what I had to practice.

Doodle Warriors provided me with a structured plan, and I knew what had to practice next.

This gave me the motivation to keep drawing and improving.

A year ago, my first portrait attempt was a total failure. I tried different courses and techniques until I found Angel and signed up to Doodle Warriors. Ten months of deep practice later — I’m a happy artist who can paint pretty much anything. Angel put his soul into this course, making it as easy to understand and as fun as possible. Shout out to the amazing coaches too!

This was a huge milestone for me! I had been studying  with Doodlewarriros by Angel Ganev.

I really loved the style this course uses to teach and really vibed with it.

Anyways through a ton of blood and tears 😭 I finished the program and this was my final piece for the course!

Thanks so much to all those that have helped along the way and all the other warriors out there! 💪 Special thanks to all the coaches for all the support!

I started the @doodlewarriors course around 11 months ago and it has been a life changing experience and probably the best decision I’ve ever made!

I want to thank @angelganev for all the feedback and support, and everyone that helped and encouraged me along the way 🌸

I’m looking forward to improving my art even further.

Learning from Angel has transformed my art journey.

I started with no experience and almost quit, but his guidance helped me grow more confident with every piece.

I’m so glad I can look back at that now and tackle the studies I do today, as it’s been such an enjoyable journey and great to be part of such a creative and supportive community 🥰

Two and a half years ago I decided to embark on a journey of learning digital art. I had no idea how hard it was going to be, had no expectations.

After watching a few YouTube videos and getting more confused than anything, I didn’t know what to do.

By chance I stumbled across Angel Ganev advertising a digital portrait course, what caught my attention was how well structured it was.

I didn’t overthought it and just went for it, and the rest well.. my entire journey is recorded on this account.

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm a complete beginner. Is this for me?

Yes. The 8 modules take complete beginners from their first sketch lines all the way through to finished portraits in any style. Each module builds on the last, nothing is assumed.

I've been drawing for years. Will this be too basic?

No. Even the early modules introduce techniques that go beyond what most courses teach: the side circle, the 5-line jaw, the invisible construction lines beneath every face. Each module goes a layer deeper, ending with stylization in any direction.

The Weekly Workshops also adapt to wherever you are: submit the work you're on, get critiqued from there.

I'm not sure I'm good enough to join.

This isn't about being "good enough." It's about putting the tools, feedback, and structure in front of you to become the artist you want to be. All you need is commitment and a willingness to actually draw. The rest builds from there.

Is this for digital or traditional artists?

Both. The modules teach the fundamentals of portrait drawing and painting, principles that apply the same way whether you're on paper or a tablet. The Digital Art Fast-Track is included for the artists who want to work digitally.

How much time will this take each week?

About 30 minutes a day, 4 days a week on the modules and practice sheets. The Weekly Workshops are 60–90 minutes once a week (recorded if you can't make it live). With lifetime access, you can dial it up or down depending on your schedule.

How much content will there be?

8 modules with 15–20 videos each. About 120+ short, focused videos in total, with a practice sheet paired alongside each one. You'll be drawing as you learn, not stockpiling hours of content you never use.

How long do I have access?

The entire program is yours for life. One payment, lifetime access. Modules, practice sheets, workshop replays, community, all of it.

How do the Weekly Workshops work?

Live, with Angel, every week. Each session, you can submit one piece for critique. Angel picks a handful of submissions to break down in depth, based on what will teach the room the most.

You're not guaranteed to be picked every week, but every critique is recorded and kept for you.

Can I go through at my own pace?

Yes, your pace, with structure. Modules release gradually over the first 8 weeks so you build skills in the right order without overwhelm. Once all modules are out, the entire program is yours forever, to revisit at your own speed.

What if I fall behind?

No stress. No pressure.

Lifetime access means there's no "behind." Modules wait for you. Workshops are recorded. Pick it up next week, next month, or next year. It's all still there.

When do I get access?

The moment you join. Module 1 is ready and waiting. New modules roll out gradually. Workshops start the week after launch.

I've tried other art programs before. What makes this different?

Most online art courses give you a folder of videos and leave you alone.

The Portrait Mastery Program combines four things in one place: a structured 8-module curriculum, hands-on practice sheets you complete with Angel, weekly live feedback, and a community of self-taught artists walking the same road. That combination is what most courses skip, and it's why students inside this program improve in months instead of years.

I'm already a Doodle Warriors Member. Should I still join?

The Portrait Mastery Program gives you one thing the Membership doesn't: the ability to submit your work to Angel's Weekly Workshops for personal critique. Plus lifetime ownership of the program instead of access-while-subscribed. If either matters to you, yes.

Is this a subscription?

No. One-time payment of $297, or two payments of $155. You own the program for life.

What's the refund policy?

30-day money-back guarantee.

Join, go through the early modules, use the practice sheets, show up to at least one workshop. If after 30 days it's not the right fit, email [email protected] and we'll refund you in full. No hard feelings.

Who is this NOT for?

We keep it real. This program is not for:

  • Tire kickers looking for a free preview
  • Shortcut seekers chasing 30-day mastery
  • Serial info-hoarders who never actually pick up the pen
  • Artists already at a professional level who don't need fundamentals review

This is for self-taught artists who want to draw portraits they're proud of, and are willing to put the reps in to get there.
