Hi, my name is Angel Ganev. I’m the host and instructor of this 5-Day Challenge.
If you create digital portraits, you might have seen my content before on Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok.

You might wonder how I managed to reach the point where I am today as a digital artist.
Did I have a natural talent for drawing?
Not at all.
I got into digital art in 2011 because of League of Legends, but I discovered I wasn’t good at drawing and gave it up.
At that time, I didn’t realize we all need to start somewhere and practice to get better at drawing.
But, in 2013, I decided to commit to digital art… and picked up my tablet and stylus again.
I watched countless online tutorials, read art books, and even attended a few art sessions.
None of them gave me the clear direction I craved. But I kept trying everything I could get my hands on and hoped for the best. I didn’t know any better.
After many years of trial and error, I reached the point where I am today.
As I progressed on my journey, I started teaching my process and sharing insights—the kind of things I wish I had learned when I was starting out as a self-taught artist.
My students absorbed all this information… but in a simple, structured way that you typically can’t achieve by watching free or even paid online resources.
This structured approach made all the difference… and they leveled up as digital artists at an impressive rate.

Starting Your Sketch

- Get hold of a powerful tool called the “Lay-In” technique. This technique will enable you to draw facial features accurately at any angle without tears!.

DAY 03
How to Pick Colors
If you ever struggle to pick the right colors for your portraits, this session on day 3 will help you.
Through this session, you’ll:
- Gain access to my “Color Stacking” technique for picking awesome colors.
- Figure out how to avoid muddy colors and pick the right ones to give your portrait the perfect vibe to make it pop.
- Feel confident in your color choice even if you don’t know any complicated color theory.
DAY 04
The Shading Process
Shading is a tricky technique to master, but this session on day 4 will simplify the shading process for you.
Through this session, you’ll:
- Crack the code to solving the “Shading Puzzle” that stumps many aspiring artists so you can finally get what the shading process is all about.
- Approach shading with clarity and confidence… and figure out any lighting situation so you can represent it accurately in your portraits.
- Know exactly how to shade your portraits and create the right mood instead of relying on guesswork and hoping for the best.
DAY 05
Adding the Final Details
We’ll finish our portraits on day 5 by adding the final details to them!
Through this session, you’ll:
- Discover the simple “4-Step Rendering” technique that will turn your portraits from good to great.
- Avoid adding unnecessary details that weaken your portraits.
- Learn how to tell when your portraits are finished so you can stop overworking and ruining your portraits.
