In just 5 days… you will:
If you said “yes” to any of the above, this free 5-Day Portrait Challenge is 100% for you.
@scottormston
I know there’s something wrong with my portrait, but I don’t know how to fix it… or what mistakes I’m making.
If this sounds familiar to you, I get it. I’ve been there myself.
You put a lot of effort into creating your portrait. But it ends up looking nothing like what you imagined.
Perhaps the lines are wobbly, the colors are muddy, and the facial features look off…
Your portrait is far from what you really want to draw. The kind of portrait you can be proud of and others appreciate for your style.
You try hard to improve your drawing skills. You try everything you can get your hands on. Online tutorials, courses, books, and any other resources you think might help.
But nothing seems to work, and you feel stuck in a hole.
Thoughts like these punch you in the gut and leave you confused and frustrated.
If this is the kind of situation you’re in, I can help you get out of this dark pit.
What’s more, I can show you how to get on the fast track to drawing the kind of portrait you dream of drawing.
But first, let’s talk about…
And no, it’s not because you lack talent.
Instead, it’s probably because you lack the skills you need to create your ideal portraits. And your approach to improving them is not working despite your effort.
I know this might sound harsh, especially if you’ve been trying hard to improve your skills.
But it turns out…
Many people on this digital portrait journey try to learn everything at once without structure or focus. They get overwhelmed and, unfortunately, learn nothing much in the end.
In short, they don’t have a clear roadmap for developing their skills… and they’re playing on Extra Hard Mode in leveling up their digital portrait skills.
You can join one of the two teams.
Team A gets a map, pictures of what to find, and clear instructions on where and how to find the target objects.
Team B only gets vague clues about the target objects… but nothing more. They are doomed to fail because they don’t even know what they are supposed to look for.
Which team would you join? Team A, right?
The reason why I’m telling you this is that many artists trying to improve their digital portrait skills are like Team B.
They don’t know what skills they need or how to get them. So they just try random things and hope something works.
But that’s not a good way to learn.
Does this sound like your approach?
If so, you need a clear plan, like Team A’s map, to really get better at drawing digital portraits and developing your own style.
A clear roadmap for developing your digital portrait skills can show you…
When you follow the roadmap step-by-step, it will help you move forward on your digital portrait journey with confidence and clarity.
You can finally make a huge leap toward drawing your ideal portraits.
How do I know? That’s because my coaching students followed a roadmap I gave them, and their skills took off like a rocket in no time… often within a year or so.
In case we haven’t met…
Hi, my name is Angel Ganev. I’m the host and instructor of this 5-Day Challenge.
If you create digital portraits, you might have seen my content before on Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok.
When you look at my digital art and the following I have on these social media platforms…
You might wonder how I managed to reach the point where I am today as a digital artist.
Did I have a natural talent for drawing?
Not at all.
I got into digital art in 2011 because of League of Legends, but I discovered I wasn’t good at drawing and gave it up.
At that time, I didn’t realize we all need to start somewhere and practice to get better at drawing.
But, in 2013, I decided to commit to digital art… and picked up my tablet and stylus again.
I watched countless online tutorials, read art books, and even attended a few art sessions.
None of them gave me the clear direction I craved. But I kept trying everything I could get my hands on and hoped for the best. I didn’t know any better.
After many years of trial and error, I reached the point where I am today.
As I progressed on my journey, I started teaching my process and sharing insights—the kind of things I wish I had learned when I was starting out as a self-taught artist.
My students absorbed all this information… but in a simple, structured way that you typically can’t achieve by watching free or even paid online resources.
This structured approach made all the difference… and they leveled up as digital artists at an impressive rate.
But don’t take my word for it. Here’s what my students have said about learning from me.
Learning from Angel has been a life changing experience and probably the best decision I’ve ever made!

Learning from Angel has transformed my art journey. I started with no experience and almost quit, but his guidance helped me grow more confident with every piece. I’m grateful for his mentorship and the support of the Doodle Warriors community!

Most people take years to go through the kind of transformation my students went through in a short amount of time.
In fact, many people stay stuck in their artist’s rut for years without much improvement.
Why do my students get better consistently and quickly?
It’s NOT because they are talented.
It’s because they know exactly what they need to work on and how to go about it.
Now, imagine for a moment…
What if you could get this roadmap for leveling up as a digital artist…
And start drawing the kind of portraits that match exactly with what you imagine in your head?
This isn’t some fantasy. You could make it happen.
If you want to get started with this journey, your first step is to understand the core skills needed for digital portrait drawing.
How can I help you take that first step? The Doodle Warriors team and I got together and came up with an answer…
I’ll host a free 5-Day Portrait Challenge to help you take that first step.
Over the course of 5 days, starting from September 16th, I’ll walk you through my step-by-step process for drawing digital portraits.
This is the exact process I use to draw portraits and teach to my students. And just as my students use this process to draw different styles of portraits, anyone can use it for any style.
And you’ll put this process to work and create a whole portrait from start to finish—that’s the challenge.
@varundraws
